7 Night Alaska Glaciers cruise

Inside Passage, BC (cruising) – Cruising through the Inside Passage is really what has made Alaska cruising so popular. This trip captures so much of what people love about Alaska. There are glaciers the size of Rhode Island. Misty rain forests and ghostly blue fjords.

Juneau, AK – Capital of Alaska, it was founded during a gold rush in 1880. Today, Juneau counts among its riches some of Alaska's most spectacular scenery. Nestled at the foot of Mt. Juneau in the Alaska Panhandle, it faces the water from the mainland side of Gastineau Channel. The majestic Mendenhall Glacier, a favourite of visitors, is nearby.

Skagway, AK – The gold rush was a boon and by 1898, it was Alaska's largest town with a population of about 20,000. Hotels, saloons, dance halls and gambling houses prospered. Much of it remains and to be explored today. Relive the Klondike days.

Glacier Bay, AK  – How does it feel when a monumental chunk of ice splits off a glacier and crashes into the sea? The sound is like thunder. The impact shoots water hundreds of feet into the air. Yours to see this day. Ketchikan, AK | Originally an Indian fish saltery, the town's major growth began when it became a supply base and entry port for miners during the 1898 Klondike Gold Rush. The town's colourful past is still evident, especially in the nearby Indian villages, where you will see colourfully carved totem poles.

Alaska - the Great Land is best seen by ship

With nearly 34,000 miles of shoreline, Alaska is very much a coastal state. Its waterways were the natural routes for canoes, sailing vessels and steamships. Modern cruise ships use the same waterways as travelers of  bygone days and passengers are treated to the same ongoing panorama of mountains, forests, glaciers and fjords. Much can be seen from the ship's rail: tree-clad islands, hanging waterfalls, glaciers dropping their ice straight in to the sea.

Whales still travel these waters, bears roam the land, eagles soar overhead, and schools of salmon swim homeward to the rivers that gave them life. The natural wonders are there for all to see, but there is more to Alaska than meets the eye.

This land is yours to explore with your family and friends. In the ports of call many adventures await; cycling, hiking, river rafting, Salmon fishing, whale watching expeditions, helicopter flight landing on the glacier, dog-sledding... so much more. Plus of course, there is endless shopping opportunities.
